Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Atlas Compliance Inc ("Atlas," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on atlas-itin.com. Read this together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as language and session) and may also be used by third parties for analytics or advertising. Similar technologies include pixels, web beacons, local storage, and software development kits ("SDKs"). In this Policy, we use "cookies" to refer to all of these technologies.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
We classify cookies into four categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies. Required to operate the Site, deliver our checkout, maintain your session, prevent fraud, and remember your cookie preferences. These cookies cannot be switched off.
- Analytics or performance cookies. Help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We currently use Google Analytics for this purpose.
- Marketing or advertising cookies. Used to measure marketing campaigns and (where applicable) personalize advertising. We currently use the Meta Pixel.
- Functionality cookies. Remember choices you make (for example, language) to provide a more personalized experience.
3. Specific Vendors and Purposes
| Vendor | Category | Purpose | Approximate retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atlas Compliance Inc (first party) | Strictly necessary | Session, security, cookie-preference storage | Session to 12 months |
| Stripe, Inc. | Strictly necessary | Secure payment session and fraud detection at checkout | Session |
| Google Analytics (Google LLC) | Analytics | Anonymous usage statistics, page views, traffic sources | Up to 26 months |
| Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) | Marketing | Measurement of ads delivered on Meta-owned platforms | Up to 13 months |
We do not currently use TikTok Pixel, Google Ads remarketing tag, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Pinterest Tag, Snap Pixel, or X/Twitter Pixel. If we add any new tracker, we will update this Policy.
4. Suppression on Sensitive Pages
We suppress the Meta Pixel and any other non-essential trackers on pages where you upload identity documents or enter Form W-7 information. This is to protect your sensitive personal information from inadvertent transmission to advertising partners.
5. Consent and Your Choices
- Consent Management Platform. At launch we have not yet wired a third-party Consent Management Platform ("CMP"). A generic notice banner is displayed describing the categories listed above. We will update this Policy with the specific CMP vendor (for example, Cookiebot, OneTrust, Osano, or Termly) once the CMP is wired.
- EU and UK visitors. Where the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) or the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations apply, non-essential cookies are loaded only after you give prior informed consent through the banner.
- California and other U.S. privacy-law residents. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information collected through cookies. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signals where required by California regulations (11 CCR §7025).
- Other visitors. Non-essential cookies are loaded subject to the banner choice and applicable law in your jurisdiction.
- Browser controls. You may also delete or block cookies using your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site (for example, checkout).
To withdraw or change your consent at any time, click the "Cookie preferences" link in the Site footer (once the CMP is wired) or clear cookies in your browser. You can also email privacy@atlas-itin.com for assistance.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is no industry consensus on the meaning of this signal; we do not respond to Do Not Track signals at this time. We do, however, honor Global Privacy Control signals for visitors located in California and other states where required by law.
7. Cross-Border Transfers via Cookie Vendors
Some of our cookie vendors (notably Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc.) process personal information in the United States. If you visit the Site from outside the United States, your data may be transferred there. We rely on appropriate transfer safeguards as described in Section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
8. Cookies and IRS / Tax Data
No cookie we set is used to send your tax-return information, passport image, or government-ID image to any analytics or advertising partner. Identity documents and Form W-7 data are handled exclusively through our secure HTTPS upload channel; see our Document Handling and Data Security Statement.
9. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site or notified to you by email if appropriate.
