Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to your use of atlas-itin.com and the ITIN application facilitation service operated by Atlas Compliance Inc ("Atlas," "we," "our," or "us"). The AUP is part of our Terms of Service and is incorporated there by reference. Atlas Compliance Inc is a service facilitation company and is not a Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA), a government agency, or affiliated with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

1. Purpose
The purpose of this AUP is to protect our customers, our staff, our service providers and CAA partners, and the integrity of the ITIN application process. By using the Site or the Service you agree to comply with this AUP and applicable law, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 18 U.S.C. §1030.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not, and you may not assist others to:
- Submit fraudulent or unauthorized documents. This includes submitting forged, altered, fabricated, or stolen passports, government IDs, tax records, or supporting documents; submitting another person's documents without lawful authority (except a parent or legal guardian submitting on behalf of a dependent); and impersonating another person.
- Use the Service for an unlawful purpose. This includes tax evasion, identity theft, money laundering, sanctions evasion, terrorism financing, or any other activity prohibited by U.S. federal, state, or local law, or by applicable international law.
- Interfere with the Site or the Service. This includes denial-of-service attacks, scraping, automated crawling beyond what robots.txt allows, bypassing or attempting to bypass authentication, security controls, rate limiting, or access controls.
- Reverse engineer or copy. Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, frame, mirror, or attempt to derive source code of the Site, the Service, or any underlying technology, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Impersonate Atlas, a CAA, or any government official. Do not falsely represent that you are affiliated with Atlas, the CAA partner, the IRS, or any other governmental body.
- Phishing, malware, or spam. Do not transmit phishing material, malicious code, spyware, ransomware, or unsolicited bulk communications through the Site or our communication channels.
- Harassment or abuse. Do not threaten, harass, defame, or discriminate against our staff, our service providers, or other customers.
- Misuse of communication channels. Do not engage in TCPA-violative conduct (for example, registering numbers you do not own); do not abuse SMS, WhatsApp, or email reply channels.
- Use of automated systems without authorization. Bots, crawlers, and other automated agents may not access the Site for purposes other than indexing public pages for search engines.
- Circumvent geographic or eligibility restrictions. Do not provide false location, age, or identity data to bypass restrictions.
3. Consequences of Violation
If we reasonably believe you have violated this AUP, we may, at our discretion and in addition to any other remedies available to us under law or the Terms of Service:
- Suspend or terminate your order and your access to the Site and the Service;
- Forfeit any refund otherwise available;
- Notify our CAA partner so that any in-progress application is paused or withdrawn where lawful;
- Notify law enforcement, the IRS, or other appropriate authorities of suspected unlawful conduct, including referrals to the IRS Criminal Investigation Division for suspected tax fraud;
- Pursue legal remedies for damages, including attorneys' fees where authorized.
4. Reporting Abuse
If you believe a user is violating this AUP, please email hello@atlas-itin.com with a clear description of the issue, the date and time, the email address or order number involved (if known), and any supporting evidence. We will review reports promptly and act consistent with this AUP and our obligations under law.
5. Reservation of Rights
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate an order, remove content, and report suspected unlawful conduct to law enforcement or to the IRS where appropriate, in our sole discretion and consistent with applicable law.
6. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce a provision of this AUP is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
7. Updates
We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes are notified consistent with Section 24 of our Terms of Service.
